The Minister for the Department of Trade & Industry, Alex Downie has confirmed that there will be no further collaboration with Granada Television on the drama series Island At War.
“Although the series was very popular and was pulling in an average of 5 million viewers per episode, ITV has a number of Second World War drama projects in hand or under consideration” said Mr Downie. “We will be working with ITV again on future projects, as well as collaborating with the BBC drama and film departments on a variety of other material.”
