Gemma Wasley

Born on the Isle of Man, Gemma grew up with a passion for all things creative. She studied BA (Hons) Architecture at the Kingston School of Architecture and also graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Art History from Liverpool. She studied Interior Design at the University of London and is a member of the British Institute of Interior Designers (BIID).

In 2010 Gemma returned to the Isle of Man and her creative roots, setting up Interior Rehab, a design studio where she created pieces of custom-made furniture and provided Interior Design services to both private and commercial clients over a 5-year period. Her new business, Rehab² continues to provide the Isle of Man with alternative pieces of furniture and innovative design, as well as antiques and gifts which can all be found in the new retail space on the ground floor of 9-11 Duke Street.

Gemma is Production Designer for film and in 2015 won a Lift-Off Film Festival award for ‘Best Art Direction’ for the short film, Him Upstairs. She has since moved into TV with the recent Laurence of Suburbia series, and through Rehab², is able to offer props and sourcing services to her art direction role.
