Eary Cushlin

Hidden on the coastline beneath Cronk ny Arrey Laa, is the former home of recluse and eccentric Colby Cubbon who purchased Eary Cushlin in the hope that this isolated homestead would be safe from German bombing raids. Ironically, one of only two German bombs known to have fallen on the Island during the entire war landed a mere thousand yards from it. Across the generations, the property has welcomed generations of Manx children enjoying outdoors pursuits. Eary Cushlin has recently been sensitively refurbished by Manx National Heritage and is now operated as self-catering holiday accommodation.
