Isle of Man headquartered content distributor ‘Greenlight International’ is heading to New Orleans to pitch their latest projects. Attending the renowned RealScreen Summit 2019 next week, the company who operates from the island, Manchester and Florida, announced pitching their latest asset to the industry’s leading broadcasters and online companies.
Inspired by the Island’s UNESCO Biosphere status, Greenlight are set to create an immersive, informative series which explores the wonders of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites and Biosphere Reserves in 4K.
“Our Beautiful World” will begin its journey in Croatia, where they will head shortly to begin filming at a number of the country’s beautiful world heritage sites.
Influenced by their Manx roots, “Art Heroes Uncovered” series will begin with a look at the island’s influential designer, Archibald Knox, who was born there one hundred and fifty years ago. The idea came from the recent exhibition at the Manx Museum which has now been filmed extensively by the Greenlight production crew. As a creative and artistic genius, Knox was intrinsically part of the Art Nouveau movement that Italians still refer to it as ‘stile Liberty’, after the intricate Celtic designs he created for the Regent Street department store, Liberty’s, which was then the most fashionable shop in London.
It is hoped that with these projects, along with others in the Greenlight catalogue, will enable the talents of the production teams based on the Isle of Man to show their creativity to the world.
Jon Quayle, Director of Greenlight International commented “It is always great to have this incredible home-grown talent on the island and to be able to fly the Manx flag at these international events.”
