From Mann to Cannes: MIPTV 2018

Another lovely evening spent in Cannes for our MIPTV 2018 party this year.  After a successful duo of MIP events in 2017, we were really looking forward to hosting our third MIP private evening reception on for the digital and creative media MIPTV attendees.

For some it was a chance to speak to Isle of Man Government representatives and the team at Isle of Media for the first time, and for others it was an opportunity to continue ongoing conversations. We had long standing Isle of Man based businesses Duke Video and Greenlight Television in attendance, along with newer Isle of Man company Formatzone Isle of Man. It was fantastic to see the Isle of Man so well represented at MIPTV yet again, in fact Jon Quayle, from Greenlight International, celebrated his 30th year at MIP.

Despite the fact there were a few showers throughout the day in Cannes, we managed to order in the sunshine for our guests on arrival and had canapes on the terrace next to the pool, with some heading indoors when the showers made a brief return. We were lucky to be able to host indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather, with canapes, BBQ food and refreshments in beautiful surroundings at the villa, Les Roses Blanches.

Isle of Media Event at MIPTV2018

This event was of particular interest to companies looking to set up a brand new digital media venture, or locate a new part of an existing business due to expansion in to new territories. If you were not available to attend the reception, or would like to discuss opportunities offered by the Isle of Man please feel free to get in touch.
